"The First Tides" is a Pop song by the Australian virtual band Neon and the Argie Bees from their upcoming debut album The Thirst Tides.

Background

When it felt like the album needed a surf rock-esque 1990s pop song simply about people having fun and partying on a beach, the concept for this track came about. Unlike "Seabreeze", which focuses on a private island beach, the beach here is very much public and inviting.

It is titled "The First Tides" instead of directly matching the spelling of the album name (The Thirst Tides), so as to not signify it as the best song on the album.
