Flye is beheaded at the start of the game, his head only surviving due to the "spooky shenanigans" of the castle they find themselves in. With a new end goal to reunite Flye's head with his body, Frie traverses various environments carrying Flye's head around, and uses it as both a melee and ranged weapon firing elemental magic.
