Phase of Sparkledogs is an animated anthology series, produced by Studio RGB-Newt and distributed by The Fishal Project, with the character designs and visual design language of the show serving mostly as a parody of early 2000s internet culture, especially the "emo/goth", "otaku", and "punk rock skater" scenes.
The show follows the "sparkledog" character Phase, a winged anthropomorphic canine whose fur colour doesn't make any sense, and four other similar characters of different species, Hasep, Aseph, Sepha, and Ephas, who find themselves in different genres and settings each episode as the show doesn't follow a linear story.
The animation style also inconsistently changes in nearly every shot, swapping between usage of software like Adobe Animate (to match the brush settings of classic Flash cartoons), MS Paint, and Flipnote Studio 3D on the Nintendo 3DS.
