Phase of Sparkledogs is an animated anthology series, produced by Studio RGB-Newt and distributed by The Fishal Project, with some of the character designs and visual design language of the show serving mostly as a parody of early 2000s internet culture, especially the "emo/goth", "otaku", and "punk rock skater" scenes.

The show follows the "sparkledog" Phase (a winged anthropomorphic canine whose fur colours don't make any sense) who finds themselves teleporting through a gateway between their homeworld of other sparkledogs, and the country of Japan on Earth. As an anthology, most episode plots aren't connected to each other, and episodes are comprised of several comedic and dramatic scenes as Phase traverses through life attending a Japanese university.

Intentionally, the animation style also inconsistently changes for certain shots, swapping between usage of software like Adobe Animate (to match the brush settings of classic Macromedia Flash web cartoons), MS Paint, and Flipnote Studio 3D on the Nintendo 3DS.
