Artist ThyDillo partially redesigned the character in 2020, during the process of selling them to NeonWabbit, who then later reimplemented parts of the original design (like the hooved front legs) back into the character, after learning they were intended to be a hippogriff.

In January 2025, on The-F0X 'n' Friends Discord server, The-F0X revealed some background info on making Ceil's design. At a party she was forced to be at, she set up her laptop in the host's study and coloured multiple adoptable designs in that day.[1]
