Voltereier (also known by his nickname Zaps) is a deep-sea tentacle monster parasite character using a Bombay cat creature as a host body, owned by NeonWabbit, created and designed by The-F0X.

Voltereier was originally designed in 2013, during a Creature Exchange event on DeviantArt, for an artist now known as NoobsyDraws. Noobsy regifted the character to NeonWabbit nearly a decade later, in 2022, via a conversation that took place in Instagram DMs.

Fictional history

Voltereier is a friendly terror from the deep, disguising himself as a cat on the surface world, in order to traverse it, but still not managing to hide all his tentacle appendages.

Working as a travelling magician, he dresses as a nobleman crossed with a mad scientist, and while he dabbles in elemental magic, dark arts, and some questionable sciences, he is neither rich, nor a scientist employed in any official capacity, but is let into important high society places and laboratories simply due to his confidence, charisma, and the manner in which he presents himself.

He employs Sunny as his magician's assistant.
