The Thirst Tides track listing

"The First Tides" is a Pop song by the Australian virtual band Neon and the Argie Bees from their upcoming debut album The Thirst Tides.

Background

When it felt like the album needed a surf rock-esque 1990s pop song simply about people having fun and partying on a beach, the concept for this track came about. Unlike "Seabreeze", which focuses on a private island beach, the beach here is very much public and inviting.

It is titled "The First Tides" instead of directly matching the spelling of the album name (The Thirst Tides), so as to not signify it as the best song on the album.

Lyrics

(Breakdown!)

Sunbeams from the blue sky
Sand beneath our feet
Surfers catch a ride
(Volleyballs soaring high)
Music fills the air
Cheers and water splashes
Joy everywhere

Got you running to the beach for the first tides
From morning, noon, to night, it’s really is a sight
Hear the ocean's flow, oh what a show,
Let the people know, pack your bags and go,
It's the first tides

Ice cream dripping, over there's a fun run,
Get under the umbrellas, come escape the sun.
Picnics bringing treats galore,
(That's not enough sunscreen, you can apply more)
Seashells collected, memories are made,
and they'll never fade,
I'll always remember when we

Got you running to the beach for the first tides
From morning, noon, to night, it’s really is a sight
Hear the ocean's flow, oh what a show,
Let the people know, pack your bags and go,
It's the first tides

All the private yachts, and the ships with sails
Within the reach of the beach, adventure prevails
From dawn to dusk, the heart beats strong,
and with every wave, we find our song

Got you running to the beach for the first tides
From morning, noon, to night, it’s really outta sight
Hear the ocean's flow, oh what a show,
Let the people know, pack your bags and go,
It's the first tides

It's the first tides
(It's the first tides)
It's the first tides
(It's the first tides)

Thanks for joining us for them
(Whew, we're beat)
We'll see you next time then,
Mission complete!
